Better instrumentation is not weakness. It's finer calibration. A craftsman who can feel minor imperfections in the stone isn't more fragile than one who only notices cracks. He's more skilled. The same applies here. Heightened emotional sensitivity, developed through practice and honest self-examination, means you can respond earlier, with less data, and with more precision. That is a capacity, not a vulnerability, as long as the response to that sensitivity remains action rather than shutdown.

Brian also addresses the real limit case honestly: if the anxiety becomes paralyzing, the process still applies, but the first action is asking for help. Therapists, friends, lodge brothers, medication when appropriate. None of that is surrender. All of it is taking action.
